As a result of ongoing research and development, Roggenwolf already has many camouflage patterns available to license. Polish firm SPECOPS® has only recently licensed the rights to produce Roggenwolf Warg™, a camouflage pattern which was developed in 2008.

In an increasingly global economy, suppliers of military apparel, personal protection systems, and weapon carriage systems often need camouflage solutions in a hurry, but lack the resources needed to research and develop new camouflage patterns quickly. Imitating recent developments and trends is an easy solution to the problem, but licensing a camouflage solution from Roggenwolf™ could be a better solution.

Drawing on 30 years of military experience, we understand that a good military uniform serves to distinguish friend from foe. However, our design philosophy is built upon the belief that an effective camouflage uniform must be more than an aid to identification — it should also conceal its wearer in country, by delaying detection and recognition.

It is with both goals always in mind that we continue to develop our own paradigms and techniques, based upon a sound understanding of human visual perception. A Roggenwolf camouflage solution typically includes features which are designed to delay detection, by providing false cues to peripheral vision, as well as features which delay recognition by misleading foveal and colour vision. One technical innovation which is unique to Roggenwolf is the proprietary Dwimor™ process, which challenges the ability of the unaided eye to focus upon a camouflage pattern at shorter ranges.

Custom design

As a result of ongoing research and development, Roggenwolf already has many camouflage patterns available to license. However, clients sometimes have very specific requirements, for which an existing solution may not be suitable. For this reason, Roggenwolf offers custom camouflage pattern design.

So long as a commission does not infringe upon existing rights, Roggenwolf can design a camouflage pattern to meet particular needs. In fact, one of our better-known camouflage solutions is a custom design; RDI–Roggenwolf Generation 2 Kumul ('Kumul 2™') digital camouflage was commissioned by Robmos Ltd (PNG) Defence Industries.

Custom colourways

Since most of our camouflage patterns can be adapted to more than one operating environment, Roggenwolf has developed a selection of camouflage colours. Our colourways are derived through analysis of representative environments, and may be loaded into any suitable camouflage pattern.

Still, should it happen that our available colourways have not anticipated your particular needs, Roggenwolf can also develop custom colourways to suit. In many cases we can even utilise the colourways of current camouflage uniforms; one variant of Kumul 2, for example, used a pre-existing colourway.
